Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide analytics information. This policy explains how Cartiva uses cookies on cartiva.io (the Website) and app.cartiva.io (the Dashboard).
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Essential Cookies (Always Active)
These cookies are necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Supabase authentication session | Session / 7 days |
| cookie-consent | Stores your cookie preferences | 12 months |
2.2 Analytics Cookies (Require Consent)
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our Website and Dashboard. They are only set after you give consent via our cookie banner.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics — distinguishes users | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics — session state | 2 years |
2.3 Cookies We Do Not Use
Cartiva does not use:
- Advertising or targeting cookies
- Third-party tracking pixels
- Social media cookies
- Cross-site tracking technologies
3. Google Tag Manager and Consent Mode
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage analytics tags. GTM is configured with Consent Mode v2, which means:
- No analytics cookies are set until you accept them via the cookie banner
- If you decline, GTM sends anonymized, cookieless pings only (no user identification)
- You can change your preference at any time via the cookie settings in the footer
4. Managing Cookies
Via Our Cookie Banner
When you first visit our Website or Dashboard, a cookie banner allows you to accept or decline optional cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
Via Your Browser
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using the Dashboard. Common browser cookie settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Privacy > Cookies
5. MCP Proxy and Cookies
The Cartiva MCP proxy (mcp.cartiva.io) does not set any cookies. It processes MCP protocol requests from AI agents, which do not support cookies. Agent identification is performed via MCP client metadata, not cookies.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you via the cookie banner or Dashboard.
